My role as your Coach is to ask meaningful questions and to reflect what I hear you saying in order for you to tap into your deeper, inner-wisdom and find solutions to many of your challenges. I am not above you in any way, but rather I partner with you in order to engage you in achieving what you want in your life.

What is Functional Health?

In the past few years, I’ve met many people and have done a lot of networking. In the post-COVID world, almost everybody claims to be a Coach of some sort; but I’ve noticed that what truly sets me apart from other Coaches are my certifications – my National Board Certification and my ADAPT Functional Health Coach Certification – plus my vast Nutrition and Functional Health knowledge.

Functional Medicine gets to the root cause of a person’s issues, and “health” is really comprised of many different components. I like to emphasize the importance of The 4 Pillars of Health: Sleep, Stress, Nutrition, and Movement with my clients. These four pillars are all closely connected in achieving better health outcomes and reaching goals.

With my extensive background in nutrition and also working professionally in the fitness space for 20 years, I have a lot of hands-on experience working with a wide range of people with a large variety of health concerns, challenges, and goals.

What is an A-CFHC ADAPT Certified Functional Health Coach?

As an ADAPT Certified Functional Health Coach (A-CFHC), I am trained in several disciplines to support people just like you, as you make lasting changes to your life. These disciplines include:

  • Positive Psychology – Leverage your strengths rather than focusing on your weaknesses.
  • Motivational Interviewing – Link behavior changes to your deepest needs and goals.
  • Habit Formation and Reversal – Learn to create new, positive habits or break negative ones.

 Functional Health Coaching, as I practice it, is focused on sustainable progress that is unique to YOU – my client. As an ADAPT Certified Functional Health Coach (A-CFHC), I empower you as your own expert. I help you identify challenges that are preventing change by providing support and accountability. I help you set and achieve goals and build new habits to help you create your own solutions to your problems or challenges. Ultimately, I help you make behavioral and lifestyle changes that last. I am a change agent…I am YOUR change agent.

A Passionate Partner in Health

I’ve always been passionate about helping others. Engaging someone in the process of evolving and growing into who they want to be – their new, future self – is very rewarding. I’ve worked one-on-one with clients for over 20 years in the field of Holistic Nutrition, and now in Functional Health Coaching. I will partner with you as you take steps toward better health and achieving your wellness goals.

What I love most about Coaching is that my clients’ pasts don’t dictate their futures, and that I get to meet them where they currently are. Together, we only look forward.

Heather has been a fantastic coach and a wealth of knowledge. Heather has met me right where I needed help at each different phases of my health journey. She has a plan for everyone, mainly because she is able to lead people back to health through a model that focuses on the 5 pillars of health (Sleep, Stress, Nutrition, muscle / exercise, Hydration). The main thing is that the sessions are judgement free zones but I always leave motivated to continue the change, or get back in the game. The best!
